My Dell 3 GHz Win XP SP2 desktop will occasionally get disconnected from the
Quest Actiontec modem and/or the Linksys WRT54G router. At the time of
disconnect if I am working on a file stored on say partition 'D' I get a
'network error message' and get disconnected from partition 'C' where the
program was installed.

Same thing will happen when I'm working on the file stored on drive 'D' on
another networked computer. I understand that but I don't get why I would
get disconnected when I'm working on a file stored on the same drive but on
different partitions.

Thanks for any suggestions.
